Hand made marionette depicting a silver fish. It was manufactured and operated in Melbourne by Alex and Murray Smith, who performed as part of Le Forgeron Marionettes from 1930 until 1956.
Physical Description
Marionette depicting a fish,which has been constructed out of two pieces of wood nailed together with a piece of rubber sandwiched in the middle, forming the fins. The body has been painted silver with black detailing. The fish has five fins plus a tail fin which are terracotta coloured rubber with black and silver detailing. The fish hangs from a piece of wood.
