Hand made marionette depicting a frog. It was manufactured and operated in Melbourne by Alex and Murray Smith, who performed as part of Le Forgeron Marionettes from 1930 until 1956.
Physical Description
Marionette depicting a frog, which has been sown in a soft, green fabric with blotches of black paint on it. He is padded and shaped with wire. His hands and feet have been formed with wire and covered in a shiny yellow fabric and detailed in black paint. He has a large pink fabric mouth and cardboard eyes, which have been glued on to his head. The frog is attached to a two piece mechanism.
