Hand made marionette depicting a black/grey elongated bird. It was manufactured and operated in Melbourne by Alex and Murray Smith, who performed as part of Le Forgeron Marionettes from 1930 until 1956.
Physical Description
Marionette depicting a long bodied bird, which is made of blackish-grey and white fur like fabric. It has been padded with straw. The wings have been shaped with wire and also padded with straw. It has large orange feet, which have been shaped by cardboard as has its beak which is yellow and padded. The bird has plastic eyes. This marionette has no mechanism.
