Summary
Hand made marionette depicting a sailing ship, which rocks back and forth. It was manufactured and operated in Melbourne by Alex and Murray Smith, who performed as part of Le Forgeron Marionettes from 1930 until 1956.
Physical Description
This marionette consists of a piece of wood with a picture of a ship painted on it. The ship has been painted brown with black and green detailing, and has many white sails. The sky in the background has been painted a vibrant blue. The ship is attached to a wooden rod by two strings.
