Head of the Queen facing left, hair bound in double fillet gathered behind in a knot from which a loose curl; on neck truncation incuse, W.W. (for William Wyon, who designed and engraved the dies); around, VICTORIA DEI GRATIA; below, 1845
Reverse Description
Britannia seated facing right on a rock holding a trident and resting her right hand on an oval shield which bears the three crosses of the Union Flag; around, BRITANNIAR: REG: FID: DEF:; in exergue, a rose, thistle and shamrock combined.
