Antoni Kozuch was born in Zobno in Poland in 1906. He was a soldier during the war and was captured and interred in Germany until liberated at the end of the war. He met Zofia Antoniszyn and her son Stefan in a Displaced Persons Camp near Stuttgart following World War II. In 1949 Antoni migrated to Australia, where he worked for the Victorian Railways as a 'podder' until he retired. He met Zofia again in the mid-1950s at the Polish Club in Elizabeth Street Melbourne. They married and had a son Mark.

Physical Description

Portrait format certificate that is printed on both sides (using both black and red ink). The front of the certificate has a decorative border and a colour portrait located in the top centre of the certificate and the Australian coat of arms in the same position on the bottom of the document. The content of the certificate appears in the centre of the object and there is also additional printed text on the rear of the document.
