Other Details: A gold-plated medal issued by the Shire of Gordon to commemorate the sesquicentenary of Victoria in 1984-5. It features a coat of Arms with the motto CAUTIO PRO COMUNI BOND and the sesquicentenary logo. The Shire of Gordon was located north-west of Melbourne. The area developed following the discovery of gold in the 1850s. Ten years after this medal was issued the Shire of Gordon amalgamated with several other shires to form the Loddon Shire Council.
