Wall Calendar for 2002 advertising Hamburg SUD Columbus Line Container Services, with colour photograph of the container ship 'Columbus Queensland'.
This equipment was collected from the Melbourne Coastal Radio Station after it was closed in July 2002. In addition to communications equipment and documentation, items in general office use were collected in order to represent as far as possible the working environment at the time of closure.
Physical Description
Card backed, colour (red, white, grey and black), wall calendar with four parts. The top section comprises an image of the 'Columbus Queensland' container ship sailing into Sydney harbour, the second section has a calendar set at June 2002, the next has a calendar set at July 2002 and final part has a calendar set at August 2002. Each of the paper calendars is stuck to the card backing and the months can be ripped off (perforated top edge) when used. The second calendar also has a moveable (up and down/ week by week) plastic strip across its width with a red aperture that can also be moved to highlight the date.
