Telephone listing of the Bureau of Meteorology Telephone Weather Services from Operator Console # 1, current at 29 September 1998.
This equipment was collected from the Melbourne Coastal Radio Station after it was closed in July 2002. In addition to communications equipment and documentation, items in general office use were collected in order to represent as far as possible the working environment at the time of closure.
Physical Description
Enlarged copy of a fax, listing National and State telephone numbers for the Bureau of Meteorology's weather forecasts. Two-sixteen numbers listed per state. Five national phone numbers listed at head of list. List is sticky-taped to the outer left side of the Operator Console.
