This image is one of a series collected from the Melbourne Radio Station at Cape Schanck in June 2002, just prior to the closure of the Station on 30 June 2002. The photographs cover various events in the history of the Station and were taken by various photographers.
Description of Content
The black cylinder and the antenna above it were used for testing "safety of life" receive circuit. Controlled by push switches on the left-hand corner of the console, each labelled with a frequency.
