Hand-drawn map of Yrpres Offensive, Belgium, September to October 1917. The Ypres offensive was part fo a three- phase attack on the German forces stationed in Ypres during World War I.
The map includes Glencorse Wood, in which Albert Kemp died - one of the soldiers represented in Museum Victoria's collection.
Physical Description
Rectangular map drawn in black ink on map paper (textile based fibre). Drawn on a scale of 1: 20,000 the map details the locales, including Zonnebeke, between Ypres and Rouliers and the surrounding topography.The advancing route to the assembly position and the front line (8.30am 4/10/1917) has been drawn on the map in red ink.
