Summary
White cotton dress, probably Irish, early 1870s. Brought to Australia by Georgina Maude Logan (nee Copeland) - known as Maude - in 1894.
Physical Description
White cotton, hand sewn, boat neck dress with short sleeves trimmed with lace. Cotton and lace layer over the sleeves tapers into the waist, and forms a collar at the back. There is also lace and embroidery detail on the bodice and two ties at the back. The lower half of the dress has four tiers and is gathered to the waist under a section of piping detail. The back of the dress is slightly longer than the front.
