Summary
White cotton dress, probably Irish, early 1870s. Brought to Australia by Georgina Maude Logan (nee Copeland) - known as Maude - in 1894.
Physical Description
Machine-made off-white cotton and lace dress, with a gathered skirt. The bodice and lace trimmed sleeves are embroidered, and there is also a row of cutwork embroidery across the waist. There is a lace insert two thirds of the way down the skirt and around the hemline. Buttons down the back of the dress have been removed. The neckline is lined with ribbon.
