White cotton dress, probably Irish, early 1870s. Brought to Australia by Georgina Maude Logan (nee Copeland) - known as Maude - in 1894.
Physical Description
Hand-sewn, off-white cotton and lace dress with a gathered skirt. Embroidery and cutwork on the bodice and the lace trimmed cap sleeves taper towards the waist to form a collar at the back. The skirt has 3 mock layers, with a lace panel insert at its centre. The back of the skirt is longer than the front.
