General Description
Above: brown-black margin with purplish-blue central area. Below: brown and black patterns. Wingspan up to 4 cm.
Biology
Dull Purple Azure butterflies are present September to March, flying near mistletoe vines. Their caterpillars feed on mistletoe leaves, hiding under bark near the mistletoe during the day and emerging at night to eat.
Distribution
South-eastern mainland Australia.
Habitat
Dry eucalypt forests and woodlands with mistletoe vines.
