General Description
Small-sized spiders up to 0.7 cm long. Body flat, sits with legs flat and splayed to sides. A pair of long spinnerets ("tails") extend beyond the posterior border of the abdomen.
Biology
Free-ranging foragers on tree trunks. Silken socks constructed as retreats when moulting, guarding eggsacs. Prey consists of other bark-dwelling insects and spiders.
Distribution
Across Australia.
Habitat
Forests and woodlands throughout Australia; they prefer habitats with native trees.
