General Description
Colony of individual polyps (hydranths) joined by a root-like network of tubular stolons at the base. Colony shape is fan-shaped. Colour: brown. More than 3 cm high.

This is a rare species.
Distribution
South and Western Australia.
Habitat
Subtidal to moderately deep water, on rocky substrates. In shallow water, preferring sheltered habitats such as caverns. To depths of 120 m.
