General Description
Colony of individual polyps (hydranths) joined by root-like network of tubular stolons at the base. Colony shape is feather-like (pinnate). Colour: white, often with a faintly bluish tinge when seen in the water. Up to 2 cm high.
Biology
Colonies of this species become fertile in late spring to summer.
Distribution
Southern Australia (South Australia, Tasmania, Victoria, Western Australia).
Habitat
Subtidal, epiphytic on algae.
