General Description
A similar species to Amblypneustes pachistus in also having dark green spines, however the plates of the test are wider and fewer and the colour of the test is darker green. Test diameter up to 6 cm.
Biology
This species is proportionately less abundant than the closely related species, Amblypneustes pachistus.
Distribution
South-eastern Australia.
Habitat
Seagrasses in sheltered waters, to depth of 62 m.
