General Description
Above: brown with yellow spots and base to wings. Below: grey with yellow patches to forewing, hindwing with small prominent brown dots. Wingspan up to 4 cm.
Biology
Varied Sedge-skipper caterpillars feed on saw-sedge grasses, particularly Thatch and Red-fruit Saw-sedges. They hide during the day in shelters formed by the grass blades.
Distribution
South-eastern mainland Australia and Tasmania.
Habitat
Coastal swamp, heathland, woodland and eucalypt forest areas.
