General Description
Above: forewing brown with yellow patches, hindwing brown with a central dull yellow patch; outer edge of both wings grey. Below: both wings pale brown, hindwing with pale yellow patches and a few white spots. Wingspan up to 4 cm.
Biology
The caterpillars feed on saw-sedge grasses. They hide during the day in shelters formed by the grass blades.
Distribution
Southern mainland Australia and Tasmania.
Habitat
Edges of coastal swamps and rivers.
