General Description
Head is small with two pairs of very small antenna-like appendages and four additional short appendages (cirri) on the first segment. Rows of knobby protuberances (tuberculae) on lower margin of each foot are distinctive.
Biology
A deposit-feeding polychaete with fragile body. This species is often sought by anglers to use as bait.
Distribution
Southern Australia.
Habitat
Estuarine; sandy sediments, intertidal to depth of 15 m.
