General Description
Head end has a square-ish flattened first segment (prostomium) with two pairs of very small antenna-like appendages.
Biology
A predatory polychaete worm with a very rigidly muscular body. It is a rapid burrower.
Distribution
South-eastern Australia.
Habitat
Estuarine and marine; sandy sediments in harbours and bays, intertidal to depth of 15 m.
