General Description
Head is a simple cone without appendages. On the rear segements all appendages point up. The front segments are broad, the posterior segments are narrower and more fragile when handled.
Biology
This is a deposit-feeding polychaete worm. It is a common burrower in sand flats.
Distribution
Southern Australia.
Habitat
Marine; intertidal on sheltered sandy shores.
