General Description
Shell medium, reddish brown with darker radial streaks, 5 whorls (turns), low-domed spire, sculpture of fine radial ribs above, smooth below, wide space within the middle of the whorls of the shell (umbilicus). Size variable, shell can be over 2 cm.
Biology
This snail belongs to the carnivorous family Rhytididae. All of the eastern Australian rhytidids are ground-dwellers and shelter under logs, rocks and moist leaf litter. Their diet generally consists of snails and other invertebrates such as earthworms.
Distribution
South-eastern Australia.
Habitat
