General Description
Body dark brown or black with pale spots. Side of the body is red with a pale stripe (dorso-lateral stripe). Up to 7 cm long (snout-vent).
Biology
Rainbow Skinks shelter with nests of blacks ants. They often wiggle their tails from side-to-side when they search for food.
Distribution
South-eastern mainland Australia.
Habitat
On rocks and leaf litter in woodlands and dry forests.
