General Description
Body black and shiny. Throat feathers long and extend outward, visible as a fan around the neck when calling. Body up to 55 cm long. Call is repeated long, descending wails.
Biology
Australian Ravens feed on invertebrates and carrion. They nest in forks of large trees.
Distribution
South-western and eastern mainland Australia and Tasmania.
Habitat
Most areas with tall trees.
