General Description
Body colour varies, usually with upperparts grey or black. Wing with dark and light chequered pattern or two stripes. Body up to 36 cm long.
Biology
Feral Pigeons were introduced before 1873 and are now a pest species. They usually nest in groups and eat seeds.
Distribution
Mainland Australia and Tasmania.
Habitat
Urban or farm areas.
