General Description
Body white, wings, back and tail dark, grey brown. Underwing white with dark edge surrounding. Bill stout, top of bill yellow, and upper bill curves down at the tip. Wingspan up to 2 m.
Biology
Yellow-nosed Albatrosses can have a wingspan over 1.5 m. Their food sources include fish and squid. They breed on islands in the south Indian Ocean.
Distribution
Southern mainland Australia and Tasmania.
Habitat
Coastlines, large bays and open seas.
