General Description
Body white, legs black, and bill yellow. Head rounded. When breeding: neck, breast and back are yellow-brown; bill and legs red. Body up to 55 cm long.
Biology
Cattle Egrets form flocks near grazing animals, eating the insects that are disturbed.
Distribution
South-eastern, south-western and northern mainland Australia and Tasmania.
Habitat
Pastures and grasslands.
