General Description
Body colour and pattern variable. Back mostly brown or black in colour with a striped, plain or marbled pattern. Belly rough with small lumps, and white with grey to black spots. The Eastern Sign-bearing Froglet is morphologically indistinguishable from the Common Eastern Froglet. Call: long, "squeeeelcchh". Up to 3 cm long.
Biology
Eastern Sign-bearing Froglets are difficult to see, but are often heard calling from temporarily flooded areas. Their eggs usually take three months to become tadpoles.
Distribution
South-eastern mainland Australia.
Habitat
Woodlands and flood plains.
