General Description
Body dark brown to black with black and white patches on the belly. Up to 4 cm long.
Biology
Female Brown Toadlets lay eggs under bark, leaves or in shallow burrows. Males then guard the eggs. The tadpoles can take up to 7 months to become frogs.
Distribution
South-eastern mainland Australia.
Habitat
Rocks or logs in wet and dry sclerophyll forest.
