General Description
Body brown or red-brown with pale stripes on the side from head to tail. Up to 6 cm long (snout-vent).
Biology
Mallee Military Dragons search for food in open areas and quickly run into grasses for protection if threatened.
Distribution
Southern and central mainland Australia.
Habitat
Dry sandy areas usually with patches of spinifex or mallee.
