General Description
Body grey to brown on top, often paler and pink underneath, tail pink or red-brown. Dark spots on the scales form narrow dashed lines from the head to tail tip. Up to 14 cm long (snout-vent).
Biology
Pink-tailed Worm-lizards shelter in ant tunnels and under rocks. They are thought to live in the one place for long time periods.
Distribution
Isolated populations in south-eastern mainland Australia.
Habitat
Areas with partially-buried rocks and native grasses.
