General Description
Body brown or red-brown with wide dark bands separated by narrow pale bands around the head and neck. Up to 9 cm long (snout-vent).
Biology
Southern Legless Lizards shelter in the leaf litter and grass, often in humid areas.
Distribution
Isolated populations across southern mainland Australia.
Habitat
Dry sandy areas, mallee and shrublands.
