General Description
Body grey-brown or dark green with dark edges around the scales; pale white or yellow underneath. Up to 10 cm long (snout-vent).
Biology
Butler's Legless Lizards are able to change the colour of their belly. They slither across the ground like snakes, feed on small insects and shelter in grasses.
Distribution
Western, central and southern mainland Australia.
Habitat
Dry areas, often with spinifex grass.
