General Description
Body fur soft and silver-grey flecked with dark brown hairs. Underside white. Tail white-haired on pink skin with brown along the top. Ears pink and grey. Body up to 8 cm, tail up to 11 cm.
Biology
Silky Mice dig deep burrows with entrances hidden by surrounding plants. They breed when the conditions are suitable.
Distribution
Eastern South Australia and western Victoria.
Habitat
Dry woodland and mallee.
