General Description
Body long and narrow with wings and tails (cerci) on the tip of the abdomen. Legs long and narrow. Two antennae. Up to 2 cm long.
Biology
These stoneflies emerge in autumn and spring. Eggs are laid on the surface of the water and then fall to the bottom.
Distribution
New Zealand, South America. Eastern mainland Australia and Tasmania.
Habitat
Streams with cool water.
