Shell conical and oval shaped with a pointed top (apex) that points backwards. Shell up to 5 mm across.
Biology
Freshwater Limpets are herbivores, eating algae scraped from the surface of live plants or rocks.
Distribution
South-western, northern and eastern mainland Australia and Tasmania.
Habitat
On leaves of aquatic plants, or on rocks and pebbles in creeks and rivers.
