General Description
Body cylindrical, narrow and smooth. Usually white or pale in colour. Up to 5 mm long.
Biology
Nematode Worms feed in different ways; some are parasites, some are predators, and others survive by eating parts of fungi and plants. They occur in most places on Earth, from Antarctica, to forests, to marine waters.
Distribution
Worldwide. Mainland Australia and Tasmania.
Habitat
Most areas with moisture, including damp soil, wetlands and ponds.
