General Description
Body black and white. Forewings have a black patch in the middle. Young nymph has a red abdomen. Body up to 3 mm long.
Biology
Coon Bugs are a pest of cultivated plants, including peaches, grapes and avocados. They can form large groups and swarm on walls, fence posts and tree stumps. The nymphs feed on weeds.
Distribution
Southern mainland Australia.
Habitat
Paddocks, roadside areas and urban gardens.
