General Description
Body pale brown with two dark stripes at the head end (on the pronotum). Wings. Body up to 1 cm long.
Biology
German Cockroaches feed on any organic matter. They have wings but do not fly. They live in large numbers and are prolific breeders, able to produce 20 000 young in one year. German Cockroaches are an introduced pest species.
Distribution
Worldwide. Mainland Australia and Tasmania.
Habitat
Warm, dark, moist areas, including in cracks and crevices in kitchens.
