General Description
Body black with yellow markings and yellow legs. Wings mainly transparent, a few veins visible. Hindlegs with enlarged thigh and curved lower leg. Body up to 5 mm long.
Biology
These wasps are internal parasites of the larvae or pupae of butterflies, moths, beetles, flies and wasps, for example the Yellow-sedge Skipper Butterfly.
Distribution
Eastern mainland Australia and Tasmania.
Habitat
Forests, woodlands, grasslands and heaths.
