General Description
Trunk (column) with green tentacles around the top. Some species brown or with a red mouth. Column up to 8 cm wide.
Biology
This species retains water during low tide periods, making it swell-up and feel like jelly when touched.
Distribution
New Zealand. South-eastern Australian coasts.
Habitat
Rocky areas, including in crevices at mid tide level, to depth of 3 m.
