Body soft, banana-shaped, violet-grey to blue-grey, usually with a purple colouration and darker oral and anal ends. Up to 7 cm long.
Biology
This species lives concealed in sediment under rocks and is difficult to find. There are a number of species along the southern coast of Australia that look very similar and can only be distinguished from each other by very small details of their morphology. In 2007 several new species were formally described from material that was previously assigned to this species.
Distribution
Southern Australia.
Habitat
In sand and other sediment under rocks, to depth of at least 6 m.
