General Description
Body mainly red, with blue markings. Yellow around the leg joints. Body up to 1 cm long.
Biology
These sea spiders are active "swimmers" capable of treading water for extended periods when carried by tides and currents. They are well camouflaged when living on red algae.
Distribution
Southern and eastern Australia.
Habitat
Red algae in rock pools and on subtidal reef, to depth of 16 m.
