General Description
Shell round, flat and glossy but thin and fragile of three whorls (spiral turns). Shell colour orange-yellow, animal black to grey to pinkish buff with dark extremities. Shell up to 1 cm across.
Biology
This Helicarion species has a body that is too large to completely withdraw into the shell; as a result they are referred to as semi-slugs.
Distribution
South-eastern mainland Australia.
Habitat
Under bark at base of eucalypt trees, also logs and leaf litter in wet forest and woodland areas.
