General Description
Body light grey to red-brown, pale white-yellow to pink-orange underneath. Lips with faint vertical stripes. Up to 1.7 m long.
Biology
Lowland Copperheads feed on frogs, lizards and small mammals. Females give birth to up to 30 live young in mid to late summer.
Distribution
South-eastern mainland Australia and Tasmania.
Habitat
Damp habitats, such as near streams or swamps.
