General Description
Body colour varies, including grey, brown or black. Underneath pale pink. Lip with white stripe along the edge. Up to 50 cm long.
Biology
White-lipped Snakes are one of the most cold-adapted snakes in Australia, surviving at high altitudes and southern latitudes where few other snake species live. They mainly eat lizards and lizard eggs.
Distribution
South-eastern mainland Australia and Tasmania.
Habitat
Most areas, including heaths, sclerophyll forests and woodlands.
