General Description
Body brown, paler underneath. Head black from nose to neck. Lip pale brown. Up to 50 cm long.
Biology
Mitchell's Short-tailed Snakes hunt mainly small lizards and small snakes, including their own species. Females give birth to about seven live young.
Distribution
Southern mainland Australia.
Habitat
Mallee and woodland areas.
